As a CHEERS-certified HERS Rater, Iron Heart performs ECC (Energy Code Compliance) and HERS (Home Energy Rating System) verifications that include testing and documentation of HVAC efficiency, duct sealing, and insulation. These services confirm that all required energy measures are properly installed and meet California Energy Code standards.

What is an ECC/HERS Verification?

An Energy Compliance Certificate (ECC) Verification is an inspection performed by a certified HERS Rater to confirm that a home meets California’s Title 24 energy efficiency requirements.

During the verification, the HERS Rater independently tests and verifies key energy components of the home, including: HVAC system efficiency, Duct sealing and leakage, Insulation installation and performance, etc.

ECC Verification ensures that the energy related work completed was installed correctly and complies with state energy codes before final approval.
